We use legal tools to protect your ingenuity and innovations. We provide artists and arts organizations with the legal foundation to support their artistic endeavors. Every artist and arts entity needs legal advice at certain times. Often, lacking even basic knowledge of the legal climate concerning their work, energy and money are wasted, and creativity is compromised. I established my law firm precisely to answer the pervasive need among artists and artist groups for legal consultations, advice, reference and contacts from someone who knows their fields of endeavor.
From 1980 to 2005, I worked as an attorney and then as Curator of the Dance Division at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. While there, I worked with small businesses, entrepreneurs, theatrical trade unions, self-employed professionals, not-for-profit entities, and other arts businesses. Now, I focus on independent law practice to serve the needs of artists and those who work with them.
